The bullseye electric ray is found in the eastern central Pacific Ocean, inhabiting shallow bays and rocky reefs from southern California down to the Colombia coast. A medium sized nocturnal ray, characterized by leopard-like spotting, this species is designated as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, because it is actively hunted and also accidentally captured by commercial shrimp trawlers and other fisheries.
